Oh, I hosted because there wasn't any new challenges.

Replacing the map can break existing records, so it's better to use that map for the next challenge. You can host it yourself.

Since TUS allows people to submit records to any TTRR map, some non-challenge maps have plenty records. When you use such maps in a challenge, old records are transferred to the challenge.

Yes, technically a person can always stash a replay somewhere before a map is used in a challenge, so they just count pre-challenge replays as challenge replays.
