hello world - noob help

Hello everyone, I'm maximator, from Italy. I used to play worms when I was kid and then re-stasrted to enjoy it some years ago. Then quit for long... and now I'm on the right track again
Is there any guidelines I can read or some kind of noob starter kit? Cause now I feel a little confused 
When I played it the last time, I remeber there were some kind of wormkit/rubberworm etc. you should use and the Autohotkey for the anti-lock problem... how are the  things up to now?
Note, I have the last edition bought and downloaded from Steam!
